Your ChatGPT traffic may be hiding in Direct

Since around October 9, many ChatGPT links open without the tag that says where a visitor came from, so analytics counts them as Direct. One study of 500 pages found 31,000 fewer ChatGPT visits a day, and 26,000 more Direct visits to the same pages. Before you decide a page lost its ChatGPT readers, check its total traffic.
