Google Ads PMax adds option to send users to Google Business Profile

Google Ads has added a PMax setup option that can send users to a Google-hosted Business Profile experience instead of the advertiser’s website, spotted by Thomas Eccel.

Google Ads has added a new setup option inside Performance Max (PMax) called “Google Business Profile (optimised for ads).” With it, PMax campaigns can send users to a Google-hosted Business Profile experience instead of always sending them to the advertiser’s website.

This was spotted by Thomas Eccel, who posted about it on X.

This could change how local and service businesses think about PMax. If clicks go to a Business Profile instead of a website, advertisers may see traffic and conversion data shift to calls, directions, and other profile actions, and their website may get fewer visits.
