AdMob Now Has Google Analytics Integration, Tag Management for Content Experiments

Google has announced that AdMob users now have access to Google Analytics data from directly inside the AdMob platform. Google has also added tag management for content experiments, which gives more tools for in-app purchase options.

AdMob, Google’s mobile advertising platform, has announced a couple of new updates. First there is a new integration with Google Analytics, where users can now access Google Analytics data from directly inside the AdMob platform. Secondly, they have added new tag management integration with content experiments.

AdMob Google Analytics Integration

As many advertisers use Google Analytics in some form, even if they also utilize another third party analytics platform, AdMob users would need to swap between the two applications to see both AdMob data and Google Analytics data in order to create or optimize campaigns. Now AdMob users can access their Google Analytics data from directly within the AdMob platform, meaning less wasted time swapping between screens.

If you already have a Google Analytics account, you can connect the two within the AdMob Analyze tab. If you don’t have an Analytics account, you can also sign up for one directly within the AdMob interface, without ever leaving the AdMob platform.

AdMob Content Experiments Tag Manager

AdMob has added tag management for content experiments, which gives more tools for in-app purchase options.

People have a lot of choice when it comes to apps and keeping them engaged is a challenge. Businesses who experiment with different app layouts have a higher chance to find the best performing solution and keep users engaged. A few months ago we announced Google Tag Manager for apps, today we are enabling content experiments: an easy way to set up and run experiments to change anything from in-app promotions to menu layout. With Google Tag Manager you can modify app configuration for existing users without having to ship a new version.

They have designed it to be easy-to-use, even for those without coding experience. You need to go to www.google.com/tagmanager to get started, and download the SDK (Software Development Kit) for both Android and iOS.

Google acquired AdMob in 2009, and have made several updates to the platform in recent years, including making AdMob ads available within Google AdWords and opening AdMob to Google AdSense for unsold ad inventory.
