Google tests removing other tabs from AI Mode header

Google is testing a stripped-down header in AI Mode. We recently covered a test where AI Mode tucked the other tabs behind a dropdown under the “All” tab. Now Google appears to have gone a step further. The header shows only the “Ai mode” tab, and the other tabs have been removed from the line.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks.

With fewer tabs in the menu, the message from Google seems clear to me: it doesn’t want users to switch away from AI Mode to other tabs. That is only my reading, and Google hasn’t said why it is testing this.
