Google search ads get a new Visit site link

Google is testing a ‘Visit site’ link in place of the ‘Read more’ link on sponsored results, though both send users to the same page.

Google is testing a “Visit site” link in place of the “Read more” link on sponsored results. We have seen “Read more” links on sponsored results for a couple of months, but today I spotted Google replacing them with “Visit site.”

Here is a screenshot of the “Visit site” link on sponsored results.

Both links work the same way. Clicking either one takes the user to the website.

We recently covered Google testing a “Visit site” label on sponsored ads, so this looks like part of the same series of CTA tests.
