Google’s Business Photos, panoramic views of business interiors, are now easier to find and access from Google Maps.
Users can now simply drag and drop an orange Pegman on the Map, on a business with available interior photos. Businesses participating in the program are indicated by small orange circles on the map.
Doing so allows users to see a 360° panoramic view inside the business. “From restaurants to retail shops to beauty salons and more, these interior Business Photos on Google Maps give you the feeling of being there, and the comfort of knowing what to expect when you arrive,” wrote Shailesh Nalawadi, Product Manager.
Companies can join the program by hiring a Trusted Photographer to shoot the interior of their business. Search Google’s database of Trusted Photographers, or submit a request if none are available in your area.
Those interested in becoming photographers for the program must have 30+ hours per week to commit. In addition, Google’s Photographers application page stipulates they must have “proven tele-sales or door-to-door sales skills.”
Google has been testing and developing the Business Photos program since April 2010. Earlier this year, they expanded the program from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and France, to businesses in Canada, Ireland and the Netherlands.
