Pinterest has opened selected display and video ads to outside buying platforms, including Google’s Display & Video 360, Amazon Ads and Yahoo DSP. Its Programmatic Deals launch gives enterprise advertisers another way to include the platform in campaigns they already manage elsewhere.
Announced October 26, the offering is available in North America, South America and Asia Pacific. Buyers are directed to their Pinterest sales representative, so they need to establish access before adding it to a media plan.
The buying platform stays familiar
Magnite is the main supply-side partner, connecting Pinterest’s inventory and audience signals to the software advertisers use to buy placements. DeepIntent is another supported buying platform. In Latin America and Asia Pacific, Google Ad Manager also provides supply-side access.
Google Ad Manager and Display & Video 360 serve different sides of that transaction: the former helps make ad space available, while the latter is a buying route. The announcement covers selected Pinterest placements, rather than its entire advertising offering.

Buyers arrange access through Pinterest
Ask the representative which formats, targeting options and measurement are included for the intended country and buying platform. Agree on the campaign outcome being measured before comparing the proposal with an existing Pinterest buy.

The recent connection for LinkedIn audiences in Display & Video 360 has different reach-verification support across buying partners. Check the Pinterest deal’s terms rather than assuming an outside platform reproduces the direct-buy experience.
