Google tests hiding sponsored results in Shopping tab

Google appears to have briefly tested letting users hide sponsored results within the Shopping tab, a feature previously limited to the main search results tab.

Google Ads

Google appears to have been testing the option to hide sponsored results within the Shopping tab. Previously, this feature was only available on the main “All” tab in Google’s SERP, but in recent days, it started appearing in the Shopping tab as well.

I noticed this a couple of days ago and initially assumed it might simply carry over from the “All” tab, since Google often applies similar features across tabs. However, I haven’t been able to replicate it in the Shopping tab over the past day, which suggests Google may have been testing this specifically for Shopping.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks.
