Google Partners With NHL, Adds Real-Time Scores to Search Results
Google has begun partnering with NHL.com to add real-time game scores to its search results. Using results from the NHL’s site, you can more easily find snippets featuring links to live scores, live streams, standings, previews, game recaps, video highlights, and a link to buy tickets.
If you search for [nhl] on Google, you’ll get instant score updates:
You can expand to see what’s on tap for tomorrow or catch up on the previous day’s scores:
If you’re just interested in your local team or a favorite team (e.g., [bruins], [maple leafs], [blackhawks], [rangers], etc.), just type in the team name and you’ll get only that team.
