The Blob (aka the Overture PPC platform) has struck Yahoo again – even after they replaced it with Panama – as a company is suing Yahoo for using an ad platform that was “operationally defective”.
This one should not get too far, and if it does Yahoo may as well get out of search – stopping the floodgates after a result against Yahoo would be hard.
We all know that our favorite search engines track and collect a lot of data about us in order to personalize the results - and the ads - that they serve us. But that kind of tracking might not always be welcome.
This morning, Merkle released their quarterly Direct Marketing Report, ahead of Google’s own Q2 earnings announcement and it makes for a bumper stat-filled read.
This will hopefully touch on all the various elements you might hear uttered in the same breath as paid search, taking in such puzzling acronyms as PPC, CPM, CPC and SERP.
