A new version of Google Maps will soon offer users related results on searches, as well as real-time information on traffic.
A new version of Google Maps will soon offer users related results on searches, as well as real-time information on traffic.
An updated Google Maps will soon replace the current version, which Google initially previewed two years ago, as the default desktop experience.
When you search for something, the result will continue to appear directly on the map; however, the new Maps will also suggest related results. Additionally, new directions will include real-time traffic reports and Street View previews.
All information previously saved on Maps, such as home and work address locations, will carry over. On older browsers, such as Internet Explorer 8 or 9, Maps will automatically update to a Lite mode, a more streamlined version of Maps.
