If you've been waiting to try out the new MCC scripts in Google AdWords, you'll be happy to know that they have just been made available to all users.
Google first announced the MCC scripts back in March, however it was a limited beta sign-up. But now, all advertisers can access the scripts from within their Google AdWords My Client Center account.
From Google's announcement:
Here are some of the ways you can save time with MCC scripts:
- High-quality cross-account reports: Generate well-formatted custom reports in HTML, PDF, or Google Spreadsheets for all your client accounts. You can save these reports to Google Drive, to an external server, or include them as an email attachment.
- Cross-account optimization: Analyze performance and adjust bids in all your client accounts at scale.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance tools: Scan your client accounts for potential issues like paused campaigns, broken URLs, capped budgets, conflicting negative keywords, etc.
Once you're in your My Client Center, you can access Scripts from the left menu, and then start creating them. Google has a guide and a full technical reference index available to help advertisers get started with the MCC scripts.
For advertisers who are unfamiliar with how to use the scripts, Google has many code snippets available. Simply go to their code snippet page for a list of available snippets they have created for some of the more common uses of AdWords scripts. They have broken it down into sections related to the kind of script you need.
Google also has a new "Solutions" section with scripts that are ready to use straight "out of the box." If you run into problems while using MCC scripts, Google encourages you to use their help forums.
This feature has been on the wish lists of many advertisers who wanted greater flexibility with how they run their accounts, so its wide release should be seen as good news by many.
