Looking for an SEO conference without opening 28 tabs, finding three different prices and discovering that the “upcoming” event happened six months ago? This is the calendar we wanted too.
The remaining 2026 schedule is unusually good. There are focused events for technical SEO, local search, publishers, international teams and the rapidly multiplying world of AI search. There are also several general marketing conferences wearing a small SEO hat. We have separated those out, because a $1,200 ticket is a painful way to learn that the organic search track lasts 45 minutes.
If you want one quick answer, BrightonSEO is the safest all-round choice, Tech SEO Connect is the strongest specialist pick for technical SEOs, NESS is the obvious choice for news and publishing teams, and the State of Search plus LocalU combination is the most relevant US option for local search specialists. For AI search specifically, look at GEO Know How, GEO Elite or GEO Conference, but choose by language, location and agenda rather than whichever acronym is shouting the loudest this week.
Every date and price below was checked against an organizer page on August 12, 2026. Prices change, ticket batches sell out and event pages occasionally disagree with themselves, so use this as the shortlist and the organizer’s checkout as the final word.
The SEW Conference Index: Confirmed means the organizer has published a date and venue or format. Announced means the organizer has publicly committed to the event but one or more booking details are still missing. Watchlist means there is not enough official information to plan travel yet. We do not sell positions in this guide.
The best SEO conferences by job and goal
There is no honest universal ranking. A newsroom SEO lead and a SaaS technical SEO can sit through the same excellent talk and have completely different ideas about whether the trip was worth it. Start here instead.
| What you need | Best starting point | Why it stands out |
|---|---|---|
| The broadest SEO programme | BrightonSEO | Huge choice across SEO, content, analytics and paid search, with UK and US editions |
| Advanced technical SEO | Tech SEO Connect | Two days built specifically for technical practitioners, not a general conference track |
| News and publisher SEO | NESS | Three online days focused on editorial search, AI and audience growth |
| Local SEO | State of Search + LocalU | Two consecutive days in one venue, with the second day devoted to local search |
| International and cross-border SEO | Search SEOul | Strong fit for teams working across markets in Asia and beyond |
| AI search and GEO | GEO Conference | Small, in-person working sessions in New York and San Francisco, with no livestream safety net |
| A senior in-house or agency audience | Ahrefs Evolve | Premium event with a broad organic growth and AI visibility programme |
| Agency owners and affiliate operators | Chiang Mai SEO Conference | A five-day operator-heavy event where networking is part of the product |
| High value in Central and Eastern Europe | Search Evolution Summit | A two-day main pass in Cluj-Napoca for €110, plus optional workshops and a local panel |
| A free or very low-cost option | Search Central Live Deep Dive Europe or Search Me! Leeds | Direct access to practitioners without turning the travel budget into a crime scene |
| Community and career development | WTSFest | A one-track format combining practical search sessions, careers and a deliberately inclusive community |
SEO conference calendar: August to December 2026
The price shown is the lowest relevant option we could verify when this guide was checked. Taxes, booking fees, training days, travel and accommodation may be extra. “Check price” is intentional. It means the current organizer page did not expose a reliable public price, not that we forgot to copy one.

August and September 2026: the late-summer run
UK SEO Summit
August 26, Shepperton, UK and online | From £50 in person or £30 virtual
The UK SEO Summit is a practical hybrid option for people who want a conference day without committing a quarterly marketing budget. The virtual pass includes a recording, which makes the £30 entry particularly useful for small teams that cannot disappear for a weekday.
Best for: UK-based beginners, freelancers and small teams. Skip it if: you want a large expo floor or several days of senior-level networking.
Search SEOul
September 1-4, Seoul, South Korea | From $359 when checked
Search SEOul combines two conference days with a city tour and pre-party. The event says it expects more than 150 SEO professionals and puts international and cross-border search near the centre of the programme. That makes it more compelling for people managing multilingual sites, Asian markets or global expansion than for someone seeking a generic SEO refresher.
The travel only makes sense if the market fit is real. Flying across the world to hear an introductory content briefing is not “investing in yourself”; it is an unusually scenic calendar mistake.
Best for: international SEOs, Asia-Pacific teams and people who value a smaller room. Skip it if: your work is entirely local and the long-haul trip would consume most of the budget.
Search Evolution Summit
September 3-4, Cluj-Napoca, Romania | €110 main pass
Search Evolution Summit is one of the clearest value plays left in 2026. The main pass is €110 before fees, with separate options for workshops, an all-access pass and a Romanian-language local panel. The organizer describes it as the first SEO conference from Transylvania and has published a programme with 12 international speakers.
The smaller scale is a feature if you want actual conversations rather than a lanyard collection. It is also accessible for Central and Eastern European teams that are routinely asked to choose between no conference and a flight to London.
Best for: CEE-based practitioners, agencies and people who learn well in compact events. Skip it if: you need dozens of parallel tracks or a giant vendor hall.
Shenzhen SEO Conference
September 14-18, Shenzhen, China | Standard $600; Deluxe $900; VIP $1,800
The Shenzhen SEO Conference is a five-day, English-language event split across the St. Regis and MGM Shenzhen. The $600 standard ticket covers the main conference days, meals and parties. Deluxe adds the earlier workshops, tours and masterminds, which matters because the extra days are a substantial part of the format.
This is a destination event with an organizer-reported 500 attendees, not a casual add-on to a business trip. Its strongest case is access to operators working in China and across Asian markets. If that is not relevant to your roadmap, the ticket is the cheap bit of the trip.
Best for: cross-border ecommerce, international SEO and operators interested in the Chinese market. Skip it if: you only need broad Google Search updates.
BrightonSEO San Diego
September 15-16, San Diego, US | Free one-day passes by request; paid passes from $950 when checked
BrightonSEO San Diego brings the event’s multi-track format to the San Diego Convention Center and includes Hero Conf for paid search. It is the easiest recommendation here for a team with mixed interests because the agenda spans SEO, content, analytics and PPC. That breadth also creates choice overload. Build your schedule before arrival and identify a backup for every session, or you will spend the first morning studying an app while the conference happens around you.
Free one-day tickets are offered by request and are limited. Paid “Friend” tickets were $950 when we checked, with higher tiers and training packages available. Prices rise by batch.
Best for: broad search teams, agencies and first-time conference attendees who want options. Skip it if: you want a small room or one advanced technical track all day.
Search Me! Leeds
September 17, Leeds, UK | Free
Search Me! Leeds is a free evening event at Platform, running from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Speakers listed by the organizer include Dawn Anderson, Arnout Hellemans, Malcolm Slade, Kristal Ireland and Jono Alderson. There is also free pizza, which is not a learning outcome but remains a robust attendance strategy.
Do not compare this with a two-day conference. Its value is a concentrated local meetup with a strong lineup and almost no financial risk.
Best for: northern UK practitioners, beginners and anyone testing whether conference networking is for them. Skip it if: you need workshops, recordings or a full-day programme.
Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference
September 17, Reykjavik, Iceland | ISK 29,900 early price through August 17 when checked
RIMC focuses its 2026 edition on agentic AI and the future of digital visibility. That is relevant to search teams, but this is a broader internet marketing event rather than a pure SEO conference. Treat it as a strategic marketing day with search implications, not as a replacement for deep technical training.
Best for: Nordic marketing leaders and cross-channel teams working on AI adoption. Skip it if: every session needs to map directly to an SEO backlog.
Belgrade SEO Conference
September 18, Belgrade, Serbia | One day, in person
The Belgrade SEO Conference is an English-language event at CDT Hub with a focused one-day format. Its regional accessibility is part of the appeal, particularly for Balkan and CEE practitioners who want an international programme without the cost of a major Western European conference.
The official ticket page did not expose a dependable public price in our check, so confirm the final amount before budgeting.
Best for: regional practitioners and agencies that prefer a focused day. Skip it if: you need a published multi-day training programme.
SEOktoberfest G50 Summit
September 20-25, Stanglwirt, Austria | Sold out and invitation only
SEOktoberfest G50 is an intentionally tiny, confidential gathering: 25 experts and 30 attendees, according to the organizer. Published packages range from €5,500 for experts to €8,500 for new attendees and include accommodation, meals, drinks and childcare.
It is also sold out. That makes it interesting industry context, not a practical recommendation for somebody planning their autumn. Lists that present it beside a free public event without explaining the access model are comparing a ticket with a velvet rope.
Best for: invited senior operators who already know why they are going. Skip it if: you are almost anyone else.
SearchNorwichXL
September 24, Norwich, UK | £125 when checked
SearchNorwichXL expands the local community event into a one-day conference at the Maddermarket Theatre. The organizer lists 12 speakers and more than 200 attendees, with Martin Splitt, Dixon Jones, Myriam Jessier and others on the programme. The early £75 allocation had sold out when checked; the general ticket was £125, with a higher final batch scheduled.
Best for: UK SEOs who want a mid-sized, community-led alternative to London. Skip it if: you need multiple tracks or formal workshops.
Search Central Live Deep Dive Europe
September 30, Barcelona, Spain | Free registration
Google’s official Search Central events calendar lists Cherry Prommawin and Gary Illyes for this English-language Deep Dive in Barcelona. A Search Central Live event is useful when you want direct explanations of Google Search systems and access to the people working on them. It is not a promise of secret ranking factors, because those do not get handed out with the coffee.
Capacity is limited and registration does not necessarily behave like a normal paid ticket, so wait for confirmation before booking non-refundable travel.
Best for: practitioners with specific Google Search questions and a limited event budget. Skip it if: you want a broad industry agenda or extensive commercial networking.
October 2026: the calendar gets crowded
GEO Know How
October 1, Berlin, Germany | German language; workshops on September 30 and October 2
GEO Know How bills itself as the first German-language conference dedicated to generative engine optimization. The main conference is at Festsaal Kreuzberg, with optional workshop days around it. Language is the most important filter here: German-speaking in-house teams get a focused room, while international visitors may find a better fit at one of the English-language AI search events later in the year.
As with every young GEO event, inspect the individual session descriptions. “AI visibility” can mean rigorous prompt research, entity work and measurement, or it can mean 40 minutes of renamed SEO fundamentals.
Best for: German-speaking SEO and digital leaders building an AI-search programme. Skip it if: you need an English programme or are still looking for foundational SEO training.
WTSFest Philadelphia
October 1, Philadelphia, US | $499 when checked; scheduled to rise to $599 on September 1
WTSFest Philadelphia is a full-day, one-track event at Convene followed by networking. The programme spans technical, content, local and AI search, alongside career development. Catering, drinks and access to the agenda are included, and the organizer offers scholarships and pays its speakers.
Attendance in person is open to women and people of marginalized genders. Recording tickets are available more broadly. That eligibility belongs next to the recommendation, not hidden five clicks into the booking process.
Best for: eligible practitioners who want practical sessions and an intentionally supportive community. Skip it if: you are not eligible for in-person attendance or want several simultaneous tracks.
Search ‘n Stuff Antalya
October 1-4, Antalya, Turkey | In person
Search ‘n Stuff Antalya is closer to a community retreat than a conventional convention-centre conference. Its remit includes SEO, performance, content, data and AI, with networking embedded across several days. The organizers say the event became confirmed after meeting a 50-ticket crowdfunding threshold.
This is a good fit when the peer group and time together matter as much as the stage. It is a weaker fit if your manager expects eight hours of formal training and a spreadsheet of session takeaways.
Best for: consultants, agency people and operators who value a retreat format. Skip it if: you want a dense classroom schedule or a large expo.
BrightonSEO UK
October 8-9, Brighton, UK | Paid passes from £360 + VAT when checked; free allocation on waitlist
The UK edition of BrightonSEO remains the broadest search gathering in this guide. The organizer says its UK and US events now reach more than 5,000 people, a long way from the original room above a pub. The October event covers search, content, digital PR, analytics and paid media, with fringe events and training around the main programme.
Scale is both the benefit and the problem. It is excellent for a mixed team and for meeting people you already know online. It is less reliable if your only goal is two days of advanced work in one narrow specialty. Free tickets are limited, and the autumn ballot had moved to a waitlist when checked.
Best for: all-round search marketers, agencies and people prioritizing network breadth. Skip it if: crowds drain you or you want a single specialist curriculum.
Ahrefs Evolve
October 12-13, San Diego, US | Premium ticket batches; check the live checkout
Ahrefs Evolve brings a senior lineup to the InterContinental San Diego, with Ann Handley, Ross Simmonds, Tim Soulo, Rand Fishkin and others listed across organic growth, brand and AI visibility. The published ticket structure spans standard and all-access options and changes by sales batch. The event hotel rate was $339 a night plus 16% tax when checked, so calculate the whole trip before the conference badge begins looking deceptively affordable.
The strongest reason to attend is the room: experienced in-house leaders, agency heads and tool-savvy practitioners. A beginner may still enjoy it, but there are cheaper places to learn what a canonical tag does.
Best for: senior in-house marketers, agency leaders and employer-funded attendees. Skip it if: the ticket and hotel would crowd out the rest of your training budget.
Semrush Spotlight
October 13, London, UK | £249 conference pass; £529 all access; £199 AI search bootcamp add-on
Semrush Spotlight is a broad visibility and marketing event at Old Billingsgate, not a pure SEO conference. The programme is relevant to search leaders working across brand, content and AI discovery, and the optional bootcamp gives AI search more room than a token panel.
Tool-sponsored does not automatically mean sales pitch, but read the agenda with your actual role in mind. A technical specialist may get more from Tech SEO Connect. A marketing director responsible for the whole organic footprint may prefer the range here.
Best for: cross-functional organic growth and brand visibility teams. Skip it if: you want vendor-neutral, deeply technical instruction all day.
NESS: News & Editorial SEO Summit
October 13-15, online | 20+ speakers; page showed $299 when checked
NESS is the highest-signal choice for publishers because it does not make newsroom SEO fight for space inside a general marketing agenda. The three days cover News SEO, SEO and AI, and alternative audience growth. Speakers are drawn from organizations including Yahoo, The Athletic and The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, Reddit and Condé Nast.
The organizer page displayed an early price of $299 when checked even though nearby copy said pricing would rise after July 31. Confirm the amount at checkout. That small contradiction is exactly why this guide does not quietly turn old prices into current facts.
Best for: publisher SEOs, audience teams, editors and product leaders in media. Skip it if: you need ecommerce, local or lead-generation tactics.
SERP Conf. Rome
October 16, Rome, Italy | In person
SERP Conf. runs its Rome edition around SEO, ecommerce and AI, with Aleyda Solis, Purna Virji and Gianluca Fiorelli among the announced names. It offers a conventional conference, exhibition and networking mix. The public price trail was inconsistent when checked, so use the official checkout rather than a number copied from an event directory.
Best for: European SEO and ecommerce teams wanting a one-day international event. Skip it if: you need a specialist technical or local-only agenda.
State of Search and LocalU DFW
October 19-20, Grapevine, Texas | LocalU from $299; $500 combo available with code SOSLU when checked
State of Search runs on October 19 at the Grapevine Convention Center, followed by LocalU DFW in the same venue on October 20. Tickets are separate, but the organizers published a $500 combination using code SOSLU.
This pairing is unusually practical. State of Search provides the wider digital context, then LocalU spends a full day on local visibility with tactical sessions and clinics. If local search is your job, the second day is not an optional footnote. It is the reason to travel.
Best for: local SEO consultants, multi-location brands and agencies serving local businesses. Skip it if: your work has no local component and you would only attend the broader first day.
SEO On Stage Athens
October 24, Athens, Greece | From €80
SEO On Stage Athens is the debut of a travelling conference concept built around rehearsed talks on one stage. The event takes place at the Benaki Museum and offers higher ticket tiers for networking, priority seating and an afterparty.
The production idea is interesting because conference talks are too often treated as unfinished slide decks with a person standing nearby. Still, this is a first edition. Buy for the published speakers and topics, not the promise of theatre alone.
Best for: southern European practitioners who like a curated single track. Skip it if: you want years of attendee reviews or parallel specialist sessions.
November and December 2026: specialist season
SERP Conf. Vienna
November 3, Vienna, Austria | In person, English
The Vienna edition of SERP Conf. follows the Rome event, and Google’s events calendar lists Martin Splitt as a speaker. It is a sensible one-day option for Central European search teams that want an international programme without a long-haul trip. Check the official ticket page for the current batch.
Best for: Central European SEO and ecommerce practitioners. Skip it if: you already attended Rome and the second agenda does not add something specific.
Tech SEO Connect
November 5-6, Durham, North Carolina | About $999 before fees when checked
Tech SEO Connect is the purest technical SEO event remaining in the US calendar. It is a two-day conference at Bay 7 in Durham, built by and for technical SEOs, with limited capacity. The 2026 date is confirmed as November 5-6, despite some conference roundups still calling it a December event with dates to be confirmed.
This is where a JavaScript rendering, schema, crawling or enterprise architecture problem is a perfectly normal lunch conversation. That focus is valuable, but it also makes the event a bad beginner recommendation and a strange choice for a content-only role.
Best for: experienced technical SEOs, developers who work closely with search and enterprise practitioners. Skip it if: you need fundamentals, digital PR or content strategy.
Chiang Mai SEO Conference
November 9-13, Chiang Mai, Thailand | Standard $897; Deluxe $1,297; VIP $2,797
The Chiang Mai SEO Conference is a five-day operator event with the main conference at the end and networking, strategy sessions and social activity around it. The audience leans toward agency owners, affiliates, founders and independent site operators. Its own positioning welcomes people using “white hat, black hat, or something in between,” which is useful context for corporate teams with strict governance rules.
The standard ticket covers the core event; higher tiers add access and experiences. Tickets are refundable until October 9 according to the organizer’s published terms, and they are non-transferable. Read those conditions before turning the event into the centrepiece of an international trip.
Best for: agency owners, affiliates and experienced operators who value peer networks. Skip it if: you are a beginner, work in a tightly regulated brand, or dislike blurred lines between conference and social week.
GEO Elite
November 12, London, UK | From £215; 120 spaces
GEO Elite is a compact day at Wallacespace near Liverpool Street, built for senior search, organic and digital leaders. The published agenda covers entities, Wikidata, prompt research, measurement, AI advertising, roundtables and a panel. That is a healthier mix than a whole day of “what is GEO?” introductions.
The organizer page still showed a couple of template leftovers when checked, so verify the final speaker details. The substantive session list is the reason to consider it, not the claim to be first or elite.
Best for: experienced UK leaders responsible for AI-search visibility. Skip it if: you need basic SEO or a large international expo.
MozCon London
November 13, London, UK | In person
MozCon London puts the established MozCon brand into a one-day London format at Convene, 22 Bishopsgate. Expect SEO and broader organic marketing rather than a narrowly technical programme. The current official page was not reliably readable in our check, so confirm the live ticket batch and agenda before booking.
Best for: UK search marketers who want a recognizable, broad industry event. Skip it if: you are choosing between this and a specialist event that maps more closely to your work.
GEO Conference: New York and San Francisco
December 4, New York; December 9, San Francisco | $900 individual
GEO Conference is deliberately small: 150 seats in each city, a 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. programme and no livestream or recordings. The individual ticket is $900, with lower per-person pricing for pairs and groups. Published prices rise by $100 on September 1.
The working-session format is the draw. No recording means the event has to earn its value in the room, but it also removes the “we will watch it later” option that has quietly killed many team learning plans.
Best for: US in-house and agency leaders actively building an AI visibility practice. Skip it if: you need remote access, a low-cost introduction or evidence from several previous editions.
Amaze Conference
December 10-12, Chandigarh, India | Early bird from ₹17,500 plus 18% GST when checked
Amaze Conference brings SEO, AI and automation together at the Hyatt Regency Chandigarh. The organizer advertises more than 20 speakers and 400 founders and digital leaders. Early pricing was ₹17,500 for an attendee pass and ₹37,500 for VIP when checked, before GST, with a group rate available.
The founder-heavy positioning matters. This is better suited to people connecting search with agency growth and automation than to an employee looking for a pure technical curriculum.
Best for: Indian agency owners, founders and growth leaders. Skip it if: you want a tightly bounded SEO-only event.
Search-adjacent marketing conferences
These events can be valuable, but SEO is not their whole job. We have kept them separate so “best SEO conference” does not quietly become “any conference a search marketer could conceivably enjoy.”
| Event | Date and place | Main focus | Consider it when… |
| INBOUND | Sept. 16-18, Boston + online | Marketing, sales and customer success | You lead a cross-functional growth team and want a major brand event |
| RIMC | Sept. 17, Reykjavik | Agentic AI and digital marketing | AI strategy matters more than a pure SEO curriculum |
| Content Marketing World | Oct. 5-7, San Diego + digital | Content strategy and operations | Editorial systems and content leadership are your priority |
| Semrush Spotlight | Oct. 13, London | Visibility, brand and digital marketing | Your remit spans search, content and AI discovery |
| ADworld Experience | Oct. 15-16, Bologna + livestream | PPC and conversion optimization | Paid search and CRO are as important as organic search |
| Digital Marketing Europe | Nov. 10-12, Vilnius | Digital marketing, AI and growth | You need a broad regional marketing event rather than an SEO deep dive |
Confirmed and announced SEO conferences in 2027
The 2027 calendar is only useful if it distinguishes bookable events from a logo and a mailing-list form. These have organizer-backed dates or a clearly announced month. Where the organizer has not published an exact day, we say so.
| Date | Event | Location | What is actually confirmed |
| Early 2027, exact dates TBA | VISI Summit Dubai | Dubai, UAE | Organizer pages currently alternate between January and January/February; $399 early ticket page is live |
| March 3-5 | Baltic SEO Summit | Kaunas, Lithuania | Official site lists March 3-5, BLC venue and €299 early ticket |
| March 2027, exact dates TBA | SEO On Stage Dubai | Dubai, UAE | Venue and three-day format announced; ticket sales not open |
| March 19 | WTSFest London | London, UK | Barbican Centre, full-day programme, £299 ex. VAT when checked |
| April 5-7 | SMX Munich | Munich, Germany | Workshops April 5; conference April 6-7; tickets live |
| April 2027, exact dates not shown on main page | BrightonSEO UK | Brighton, UK | Organizer has added the April edition to its future-dates page |
| April 22 | Tech SEO Summit | Hamburg, Germany | Advanced one-day technical event; limited seats |
| May 13 | International Search Summit Barcelona | Barcelona, Spain | World Trade Center; optional international SEO workshop on May 12 |
| June 1-3 | SEO On Stage Prague | Prague, Czechia | Dates announced; venue and pricing still TBA |
| 2027, exact date TBA | BrightonSEO San Diego | San Diego, US | Organizer lists a 2027 edition without exact public dates |
The most technically explicit 2027 option so far is Tech SEO Summit, whose organizer says the sessions are advanced, purely technical and contain “no basics.” SMX Munich is the scale play, with more than 60 sessions and over 1,000 participants reported by the organizer. For international SEO, International Search Summit Barcelona has the cleanest job-to-agenda match.
One caution on the Baltic event: several third-party calendars still show late-March or early-April dates, while the current official 2027 page lists March 3-5. We use the organizer’s dates. Check again before buying travel, because stale conference data has a surprisingly long half-life.
SEO Week 2027 and Search ‘n Stuff London 2027 also appear in third-party calendars. Their current organizer pages did not publish enough matching 2027 detail for this table, so we have not converted those listings into “confirmed” events
—
Search Engine Watch has covered the conference circuit for more than 25 years. The first Search Engine Strategies event took place in November 1999, when “AI visibility” would have sounded like a problem with the projector.
For this index, we prioritize organizer websites over event directories, label incomplete announcements and record the date of every manual check. We include an event when search, SEO, organic discovery or closely related work is a meaningful part of the programme. Broader marketing events are placed in their own section. Price does not indicate quality, and sponsors cannot buy a higher recommendation.
Event details change. Before purchasing a ticket or non-refundable travel, verify the date, venue, price, access rules and cancellation policy on the linked organizer page.
I’ll be attending several of these events myself as we put Search Engine Watch back in the room with the people doing the work. If you’re heading to one too, connect with me on LinkedIn and tell me which one. I’d love to meet in person, compare notes, and hear what you think SEW should be covering next.
