Google is expanding ads in AI Mode to 10 new countries: Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Google also said queries in AI Mode are, on average, three times longer than traditional searches. The company says this helps it better understand what people need and connect them with relevant businesses and services.

Google says its research shows users are comfortable with ads in AI Mode and find them relevant. It also said click-through rates for sponsored product list items are already similar to those for organic product list items in AI Mode. Google didn’t share the underlying data, so treat that as the company’s own claim for now.

Google is also launching multiturn ads in the U.S. These let ads appear in follow-up queries within an AI Mode conversation.

More markets are coming. Google plans to bring ads in AI Mode to Brazil, Mexico, and the United Kingdom in Q4 2026.

Google said ads will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” and that it will keep testing new formats to keep them helpful and relevant.

This is another step in Google’s push to bring ads into AI Mode, which we’ve been tracking through the many ad design tests spotted there lately.
