Google is testing a new treatment for brand-related searches within AI Mode. Previously, when a user searched for a brand name like “ChatGPT” or “Walmart” in AI Mode, it would simply show standard AI-generated content results. Today, searching for a brand instead shows a panel with the website’s title, description, and favicon, followed by sitelinks below the description, along with a “Show more” option. Clicking “Show more” expands to reveal all the sitelinks.
Here is a screenshot of this.

This appears to be aimed at improving results specifically for brand searches. When a user searches for a brand within AI Mode, they now see this panel first, before the AI-generated answer. This could help increase click-through rates for brands, since users are shown a direct, clickable result right away.
