Google Play is celebrating its first birthday today, and is doing so by giving away free and cheap Android applications.
Well, it’s not really Google Play’s first birthday, but it is exactly a year to the day since Google rebranded its Android applications store.
“It was just a year ago today that we launched this amazing shop on the interwebs to offer the best in digital content,” Google said on Wednesday. “Since the best parties are the ones that send you home with a present, today we celebrate our birthday with a festive goodie bag full of gifts.”
