An InternetWeek article, Search Underdog To Take On Google, Microsoft, And Amazon, lets us know that a Blinkx 2.0 beta will be released in the next two weeks. The article also mentions that peer-to-peer MP3 file searching will be coming soon after the new version becomes available. Mac support is also still in the works. I’ve used Blinkx from time-to-time since it became available about three months ago and haven’t found it especially useful but that might be just me. The company reports that Blinkx has been downloaded more than 1 million times since its launch. I’ll take the new release for a spin and report back. Want to comment?
