Mouse TV Gets a Google Doodle in Germany
Google Germany users woke up to a new Google Doodle logo celebrating the popular German children’s TV series Die Sendung mit der Maus (“The Program with the Mouse”). The show turns 40 years old this week.
The educational show features segments, some educational, some merely entertaining. In between segments, the show features “mouse spots,” which are hand-drawn animated shorts featuring the mouse and typically his friends who include a duck and a blue elephant.
Much like Sesame Street in the U. S., the show’s theme music is recognized throughout the country. The show has also received numerous awards over the years from both the TV and educational communities.
