The tech giant introduced Search Console today, a rebranded version of its Webmaster Tools.
In a move to reach out to more users who care about search marketing, Google has rebranded Webmaster Tools as Search Console. The traditional idea of the “webmaster” reflects only some of its users, according to Google. By rebranding Webmaster Tools, the company hopes the product will serve a broad spectrum of users, including hobbyists, small business owners, SEO experts, marketers, programmers, designers, app developers, and of course, webmasters. Google is going to roll out the update over the coming weeks. Today also marks the first official day of Google’s partnership with Twitter. In February, the companies announced that mobile users in the U.S. will be able to see relevant tweets when they search on Google.
