Three geeky new Easter eggs from Google display the number of search results in the number format searched, as in the “binary” search below:
Searching Google for “hexidecimal” or “octal” produces the same sort of result, with the number of results shown in their respective formats:
Google isn’t the only search engine that plays around with results for user entertainment; last September, Bing added in a few Easter Eggs of their own. Searching “more evil than Satan himself” displayed a hard-coded definition at the top of the SERP: =10^100 (a googol).
