Google Posts New Ad Guidelines
In September, I wrote that Google was going to finally expand publicly its guidelines covering ads.
Those new guidelines have now gone up. The Google AdWords Content Policy page explains how advertising
products such as cable descramblers, gambling, radar jammers and other things is not allowed.
The guidelines also itemize what Google considers to be a protected group. Ads are not allowed if they promote violence or advocate against these groups. However, beyond
this, ads that are anti any group or individual are also not permitted, with the key exception of those involving politicians.
