Geico To Competitors & Affiliates: Don’t Buy Our Name!

Geico Warns Competitors
About Search Engine Ads
from AdAge covers how Geico is warning competitors
not to buy its name on Google or other search engines as an ad term, threatening
legal action. This comes in the wake of the
settlement
between GEICO and Google
over ads involving its name. It seems to suggest
that since it couldn’t win to stop Google from carrying such linked ads, the
battle now turns to target advertisers.
