Bing Rewards Integrated Directly Into Bing Search
Bing has announced expanded options for earning credits from its Bing Rewards Program. Bing Rewards is now integrated directly into Bing Web search. This opens it up to people using the latest versions of the Firefox, Chrome, and Safari browsers.
Previously, the only way to receive credits was by using the Bing Bar, a toolbar only available for Internet Explorer. Existing members who were using IE with the Bing bar may still choose that option, or simply sign into Bing when surfing.
Launched last September, Bing Rewards is a program that earns you credits toward free rewards like XBox Live points, MP3 downloads and more. It is a quintessential loyalty program for Bing users.
Similar to the site preview boxes, offer notifications will display to members who are logged in to Bing. These notifications will show ways of earning credits. Credits can be earned by searching particular terms or investigating new features in Bing.
Bing has also expanded the rewards available in their redemption center, adding gift cards to popular retailers and service both online and off. These include Amazon, Starbucks, Crate & Barrel, FarmVille to name a few. Microsoft will even be offering a sweepstakes for a trip to Hawaii.
