The issue was raised by shareholder activist, Dan Loeb, who wrote to the firm's board bringing the discrepancy to attention, claiming Thompson had "embellished his academic credentials" in order to land the role.
FeedBurner announced they have hired Don Loeb, former director of business development for Yahoo's Network Products business unit. Loeb will be the Vice President of Business Development, Strategic Partnerships at FeedBurner.
