Earlier this year, Google began testing Glue Pages in India. Glue Pages simply offered a different look for search results. Now, Yahoo is bringing Glue Pages to the U.S.but the idea is a little different.
They have a research lab in Bangalore and recently began testing "Glue Pages," a different way to view search results. China, India, Russia and Brazil will see the highest growth rates. Yahoo has also invested heavily in India.
These new "Glue pages" are intriguing and could provide a more mainstream competition to Google's universal results. Just today I noticed an interesting test they're conducting in India, providing a look that is remarkably Ask.com-ish.
Dubbed 'Glue Pages,' the design has a 3-newspaper look with modules reminiscent of iGoogle or some RSS newsreaders like Netvibes. However, while iGoogle widgets are all over the place design-wise, Glue Pages modules have a clean, uniform look.
