Happy Fourth of July to all of our readers in the United States! Just as barbecues and fireworks have become tradition on this date, so too have holiday Google Doodles. Today, Google has checked in with its 13th Independence Day themed logo celebrating America’s birthday.

This year’s red, white, and blue 4th of July Google Doodle, creatively features the message “This land was made for you and me,” lyrics penned by Woody Gurthrie in the 1940s for his anthem “This Land is Your Land.” On July 14, it will have been 100 years since Guthrie was born.

The Fourth of July is the second longest holiday honored by Google in the U.S. via special logos. Only Thanksgiving has a longer tradition, having first appeared in 1999, while the Fourth of July Doodle started in 2000.

Last year’s July 4 Google Doodle captured many parts of the country, from sea to shining sea, starting with Hawaii and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on the West Coast, all the way to fireworks lighting up the sky behind the Statue of Liberty in New York City on the East Coast, as well as several points in between.
