YouTube is reportedly planning to launch a music streaming service later this year to compete with Spotify, Fortune reported.

The upcoming service, which will be tightly knit into Google Play and the Android ecosystem, will apparently offer both free and paid-for subscription models.

YouTube seemed to confirm the rumors. A spokesperson said, “While we don’t comment on rumor or speculation, there are some content creators that think they would benefit from a subscription revenue stream in addition to ads, so we’re looking at that.”

Apple is also in talks with Beats Electronics to get in on the company’s planned music streaming service, Reuters reported.

The rumors on Apple’s talks with Beats aren’t so concrete, however. It’s also worth noting that Beats already has a partnership with Android phone maker HTC, which as an Apple rival could stop a deal.
