Google Goes Gaga For Chrome TV Ad

Google Ad Lady Gaga SNL

During the season finale of "Saturday Night Live" Google premiered its new ad for Chrome and its other services - heavily favoring YouTube - starring Lady Gaga. The ad showed fans sharing with the performer, singing her song and having Lady Gaga posting social media shout outs to her fans.

Twitter was ablaze with tweets about the ad and Lady Gaga's musical guest performance on SNL. Seems even some who may not have been in the Gaga fan base were won over between the ad and her comic performances on the show.

Google is getting smart about their advertising, one has to wonder who they will grab to advertise during other major social events. Using the SNL finale was a good way to reach out to a strong part of their user base. The ads may soon become as popular as the Google Doodles with people waiting for the next clever thing Google produces.
