Google Maps for Android Update Adds Check-ins, Reviews to Places Pages
Google Maps 5.5 for Android was released yesterday, adding new “check in here” and “rate and review” buttons for Places pages, the ability to edit your home/work address for Latitude, and a reorganized transit station pages.
Google Maps for mobile now has more than 200 million installs and more than 40 percent of all Maps usage is mobile, Google VP Marissa Mayer revealed yesterday. Mayer also said she expects mobile to surpass the desktop version of Maps this June.

Transit pages now include a list of upcoming scheduled departures for different lines, all transit lines that serve the station, and links to nearby transit stations for 440 cities:
The update works on all Android OS 1.6+ devices and is available in the Android Market.
