Intasys to Focus Exclusively on Mamma.com
Intasys Corporation announced that it had received and accepted, subject to completion of due diligence, an offer for the sale of its wireless billing subsidiaries, Intasys Billing Technologies in order to concentrate exclusively on its meta-search engine and on-line marketing business, Mamma.com Inc.
Overture Launches in the Netherlands
As part of its entry into the Dutch market, Overture also announced it has signed search distribution agreements with portals including MSN, Lycos, HotBot, 1stekeuze, a large Dutch portal, as well as Ixquick, a meta search engine.

At launch, Overture’s Spanish distribution partners include sites such as MSN, Tiscali, Lycos, Excite, Wanadoo, and Ya, a Spanish Internet Service Provider. In addition to its core paid placement product, Overture will be providing the Wanadoo Group in Spain with Web Search results from FAST.

FindWhat.Com Expands into Asia Through Relationship with Mitsui In Japan
Under the terms of the revenue-sharing-based licensing agreement, FindWhat.com is to provide the technology and business operations expertise for Mitsui to launch a new keyword-targeted paid listings service in Japan. The service will employ the existing infrastructure and systems at FindWhat.com, which have been enhanced to accommodate the needs of international partners, including language differences.
Google Launches Search and Advertising Program in Spain
Google now has 21 offices worldwide and more than 150,000 advertisers participating in the Google AdWords program. Google also announced the launch of www.google.es, the country domain for Google Spain, and the Google Toolbar 2.0 in Spanish.

Google Inc. today announced it acquired Kaltix Corp., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based search technology start-up. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lycos Selects Google AdSense for Content Ads
Google will provide contextually-targeted ads to pages of Terra Lycos U.S. properties including Angelfire, HotWired, Lycos.com, Matchmaker, Quote, Raging Bull, Terra.com, Tripod, Webmonkey, WhoWhere and Wired.
