Yahoo and AT&T Wireless Announce Launch of Yahoo Mobile Photos

The new Yahoo Mobile Photos application is a full color, graphical service that gives consumers a new, easy way to connect to their online photos over the AT&T Wireless network.

Ask Jeeves Closes Acquisition of Interactive Search Holdings

Interactive Search Holdings’ Web properties and businesses include My Way, iWon, Excite, My Search, My Web Search and the MaxOnline advertising network.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ask Jeeves issued 9.3 million shares of common stock and options and paid approximately $144 million in cash. This reflects an aggregate purchase price of $501 million based on Ask Jeeves’ closing price on May 5, 2004.

Google Begins Testing Google Groups 2

This next generation version offers users a variety of new features, including the ability to create, search, and browse email mailing lists, subscribe to and track favorite groups. Currently in beta, this service builds on the foundation of Google Groups, the company’s searchable Usenet archive.

Approximately 85 percent of the Canadian Internet population conducted at least one search at the top engines each month, compared to 73 percent of the U.S. population. Not only are Canadian Internet users more likely to use a search engine, they also search more frequently than the average U.S. user.

Anti-Spy offers consumers a way to identify potentially unwanted software like spyware, then lets consumers decide whether they want to disable/remove, ignore or keep the files that are found. If a user chooses to delete suspect software and later changes their mind, they can restore most such programs.
