Another Google Bug Reported

by ,  Comments

Reports of bugs in Google's services seem to be appearing on a daily basis. The good news is that the company has been quick to repair them.

The latest one, a cross site scripting issue with googlesyndication.com, was reported as on the Netcraft site earlier today. It was discovered by the same person who found a flaw with Google Desktop Search last week.

"The latest opportunity exploits a flaw in the User Feedback section of Google's advertising system. This allows an attacker to inject their own content onto the page, which could lead to fraudulent activity or phishing. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to affect any browser which has JavaScript enabled, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
