On Friday, Danny mentioned that AOL's Singingfish had signed a deal with Reuters to bring searchable access to Reuters news video the Singingfish database. Reuters video as well as streaming news video content from other sources, including local stations from around the U.S., can be accessed several places on the web. Here's a list of just a few of those places.
Blinkx TV allows you to not only search metadatata associated with each video file but also every word spoken in the report. It's also possible to limit your search to only Reuters video content.
Finally, the Reuters site is powered by technology from a company called FeedRoom.com. FeedRoom also provides video content from local stations throughout the U.S. Here's a link to the "National" FeedRoom. You can also run a basic search of metadata and access RSS feeds. This map offers direct access to many of the local FeedRooms.
