Spotted via InsideGoogle, Kai-Fu Lee in China from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer blog covers how Dr. Kai-Fu Lee -- the former Microsoft exec now at Google and at the center of lawsuits between the two companies -- has been out to Beijing to lay the groundwork of the research center he's to oversee there. It also notes that Lee, the new president of Google China, says he wasn't involved in search research at Microsoft, which is why he apparently didn't feel the existing battle over a non-compete clause would emerge.
