Baidu ordered to halt music downloading service from Reuters covers Chinese search engine Baidu being ordered by a Chinese court to stop providing music downloads. Baidu plans to appeal, saying it doesn’t provide downloading services but rather search services. Music search is a chief driver of Baidu’s popularity, as I’ve written recently.
