Library of Congress Announces World Digital Library Project; Google Donates $3 Million To Effort
Google’s involved in another digital library program, this time one being
backed by the US Library of Congress. The World Digital Library aims to collect
the world’s “rare and unique cultural materials” in a digital format to make
them accessible to anyone. The program is being kicked off with $3 million in
