TechCrunch has an outstanding review of a new blog search engine that recently launched named Sphere. What stands Sphere apart from the rest, outside of the user interface features? How Sphere determines and ranks sites based on "relevancy." Relevancy is based on "links in/out of blog; meta data around the blog (average length of posts, post frequency, etc; and a semantic analysis of the posts themselves)."
