Facebook Enhances Query Suggestion Feature
Fresh off the heels of beating Google in traffic for a week…
Facebook has come out with an announcement about search. Yes, search.
If you’ve ever used the search box that lies along the top blue bar in Facebook, you know that when you type, you start to see suggestions for the names of friends and fan pages in your network.
Facebook is updating that feature to, well, be more like other search suggestion features you’re familiar with. It will include suggestions for options you’re not already connected with.

It’s easy to see how Facebook could include advertising here. A brand could pay to be a “Sponsored” suggestion. We’ve seen Google experiment with this.
Facebook has to roll this feature out to 400 million members. So, hang tight if you haven’t received the update yet.
