Sysomos, the social media monitoring and analytics platform, was acquired by Marketwire for an undisclosed sum, the companies said in a joint statement. Marketwire's products and services will integrate social intelligence from the Sysomos platform to provide public relations and investor relations professionals, marketers and advertisers with better tools for their business needs, they said. Users of Sysomos' MAP, Heartbeat and Audience services will continue to have access to them, and to the support and customer services.
Newly-formed BlueGlass is looking for a CEO to lead the entity comprising four companies and seven partners. The person could well come "from Zimba, which Yahoo bought for $350 million and then sold to VMware," MediaPost reported, citing a source close to the deal.
Kontagent, the San Francisco based social web analytics company, said in a statement it raised over $4 million in its latest round of funding, bringing the total amount rasied by the company to $6 million so far. The latest round included Altos Ventures, Maverick Capital and Larry Braitman, co-founder of FlyCast and Adify. Kontagent's platform tracks over 60 million users monthly across hundreds of Facebook connected games and services.
Telmetrics, the provider of advertising call measurement solutions, said it won a contract from Meineke Car Care Centers to track consumer calls generated by national and local direct response ad campaigns. Telmetrics tracks an individual ad's performance based on the phone calls made to a unique call tracking number within an ads. Meineke has 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada, and aims to identify its lead generation sources to target its ads and boost ROI. Financial terms of the deal were not available.

Gnip, the social media API aggregation platform, said it launched a "simple method for collecting data from the social site " that will give access to six different Facebook data feeds in one single API. The new release, will simplify keyword search and fan page posts retrieval on Facebook.
Raven Tools, the Internet marketing toolset providers, said it launched the new customizable dashboard and iOS app for iPhone and iPad for all of the website campaigns being managed within its platform. "Users can use both the dashboard and iOS app to quickly check the status of any campaign, which includes data from site analytics, rank checking results, link building progress, social mentions, and goal conversions," it said in a statement.
