It comes with a bunch of different names but the app promising to show you who has viewed your Facebook profile is a scam and apparently one that is being passed around as a hot item through social media right now.
"So, the ePrivacy, or Profile Watcher V2.1, or ProfileSpy app (it comes in many flavours) will not let you see who has viewed your Facebook profile, and for very good reason: that functionality does not exist on Facebook at the moment. The official Facebook comment being "No, Facebook does not provide the ability to track who is viewing your profile, or parts of your profile, such as your photos. Applications by outside developers cannot provide this functionality, either. Applications that claim to give you this ability will be removed from Facebook for violating policy," PC Pro UK reported.
The app requires too much information upfront - you are recommending them to all your contacts before even getting access to it. They also have access to your info - so if you have already fallen victim to this scam go to your privacy settings and look for it in the applications and websites section - delete them and change your password.
This is a hot item on Twitter and one people need to avoid.
