The Google doodlers were busy today - Australia Day, a tribute to Robert Burns and a hat tip to Tom Jobim, the Brazilian musician who is credited with creating the popularity of the bossa nova.
Jobim died in New York December 8, 1994 but was born in Brazil January 25th, 1927. His collaboration with American jazz musician Stan Getz helped create the bossa nova craze in the United States.
