Just as Google earlier promised 2011 would be its biggest hiring year ever, YouTube has announced a goal of growing its staff by 30 percent worldwide. With about 650 employees, that means YouTube is looking to add roughly 200 new employees.
The majority of jobs are in advertising sales and customer support, but also include engineering operations, marketing and communication, and software engineering.
After Google announced plans to hire more than 6,000 in January, more than 75,000 applications poured in by early February.
