Jill Whalen formerly teamed with Heather Lloyd-Martin to produce the excellent RankWrite newsletter, full of practical tips on real life problems about search engine optimization. The launch issue that went out last month had some problems with people getting duplicate mailings, but the pair are working to fix this.

The site features numerous forums, covering a wide range of subjects and discussions are typically lively. The principal goal of participants in these forums is to achieve high rankings for their web pages, so if you want to learn about the wide range of search engine "optimization" techniques this is a great resource. Members also monitor search engine crawling schedules and behavior, offering an early warning system for changes that are often not officially announced.
