Compete.com has updated the look and feel of their site. If you're not familiar, Compete is a site where you can look up stats about any website for free. You'll get a general idea of what kind of traffic the site is getting. More advanced analytics are available for pro accounts.

Search marketing company magnify360 today announced the availability of Google Cost Optimizer. The tool syncs up in real-time with their clients' AdWords accounts and offers automatic responsees to campaign changes such as bids, Ad groups, and keywords. Eventually, other advertising networks will be added and integrated with magnify360's platform.
Here are some features of the tool:

Last week Omniture shareholders approved the acquisition of Visual Sciences and in essence started the burial process for WebSideStory. Remember WebsideStory bought Visual Sciences and then VS took over from within.
The press release announcing the approval details the demise of WebSideStory:
"HBX Analytics will be rebranded as Omniture SiteCatalyst HBX, and will continue to be supported until the key features have been integrated into Omniture SiteCatalyst. ... A migration program is available for all HBX customers—providing a package of complimentary migration services and technology tailored to the specific needs and requirements of each customer.
