Search Engine Watch acquired by Mecklermedia
Search Engine Watch has been acquired by Meckermedia and is now a part of Internet.com network of sites.
Site founder Danny Sullivan will continue to oversee the editorial development of the site, which has received widespread recognition and acclaim for its coverage of search engines.
"The partnership with Mecklermedia benefits everyone," Sullivan said. "Mecklermedia will oversee the advertising and subscription-related aspects of the site, as well as providing the hardware needed to serve an increasing number of visitors. That leaves me able to concentrate even more on content, which is to the advantage of visitors and subscribers to the site."
Over the coming months, the site will transition more fully into the Internet.com network.
Jeffrey Dearth, of investment bankers DeSilva and Phillips, assisted Sullivan in the deal.
